Thank you so much for stopping by. Simply Faithful Homestead is focused on teaching you heirloom skills so you can start your homestead no matter your location. From a tiny one bedroom apartment in the city to a 100 acre plot of land, I truly believe homesteading is for everyone.
I started my homesteading journey as a full time working single mom of two in my little house in town. My desire for a self-sufficient and back-to-basics lifestyle lead me to learn the skills that I love to share with readers. I am continuing to learn now that I am married and staying home to take care of my family. While we may not have acreage or livestock animals yet, there is value in learning and growing while working towards those goals.
At Simply Faithful Homestead you will be able to explore all the elements of homesteading, from simple living, scratch cooking, gardening, food preservation, and cozy faith and family centered entertaining.
About Me
I grew up in small-town Idaho, and am a country girl at heart! I’m a happily married, stay-at-home mom to a son and daughter, and love cooking from scratch for my little family of 4. In the winter I can be found canning, experimenting with sourdough and soap making, and working on home projects. During warmer weather you can find me puttering around my garden or enjoying a good book on the patio.
One could say that I stumbled into homesteading by accident. During my years as a single mom I was looking for ways to save money by creating my own household cleaning products. After doing a deep dive into the internet and researching what is in all the products we consume in our homes, I began to cook more from scratch. Then I started a few seeds. Planted a garden. Made the sourdough starter- and before I knew it, I was saving up for a home in the country and yearning for a simpler life. Leaning into my roots and my faith in the Lord to provide has helped me find my purpose.
